NOTES: Let qualified professionals assist you in filling your return. Learn about the Earned Income Tax 
Credit as well as other tax credits that may be available to you. Clients will be served on a first-come, 
first-served basis. The program is open to all families with a total gross income of less than $50,000.
What To Bring: -Social Security card or ITIN for each family member; W-2 forms for all jobs held in 2011 
and all 1099 or 1098 forms; Child care provider information; Landlord’s name, address, and phone

Build-A-Bear Workshop® launches its ninth annual search for  Huggable Heroes® - inspiring young leaders who have a commitment to serve, help others, and make a difference in their community. Kids, ages eight to 18, can be nominated through February 27. I am pleased to announce that the KP Asian Association Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from high school students graduating in Spring, 2012. KPAA scholarships recognize students who have brought demonstrable, tangible benefit to an Asian community and have the potential to be future leaders. Students may have demonstrated this potential through their activities in school, in the community, or in the face of unusual circumstances.


Since its inception in 1999, we have awarded 64 scholarships totaling $140,000. In 2012, we are pleased to offer four scholarships of $3000 each.
We are now accepting applications online at https://www.scholarselect.com/scholarships/2759-kaiser-permanente-asian-association-scholarship-program-2012. Applications must be submitted by February 17, 2012. The scholarships will be formally awarded in May, 2012, at the KPAA Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Awards Banquet in in Oakland. We are also sending application packets to every public school in our Northern CA service area the week of December 19th. dentist*** Free Dental Screenings for Children ***

In celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month, free dental screenings are offered for Bay Area children (from birth to age 14*) throughout February!

Screening visit includes:

  • Short visual exam to identify any trouble spots in gums, teeth and mouth
  • Consultation with parents to answer questions; find out how to prevent oral diseases and get tips on developing good habits for kids
  • Dental goody bag with toothbrush!

Hours: 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday
