JOB Classification: Exempt Supervisor: Project Director Pay: $28,290-40,000/Salary DOE Schedule: M-F 10am-6pm - 33-40hrs/wk
Job Purpose: To coordinate and implement comprehensive activity-based after school enrichment and academic assistance programs that are either on or linked to elementary, middle and/or high schools throughout the Bay Area. Programs offer a wide range of services that may include tutoring, mentoring, literacy, homework assistance, sports, arts and crafts, drama and a wide array of other prevention oriented enrichment activities.
Specific Responsibilities: * Be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of program at the school site including facilities, daily attendance, staff coverage, discipline and State/school requirements and to coordinate student activities to address program goals. * Develop and maintain partnerships with other community-based organizations to strengthen the programs activities. * Plan and coordinate community and school based service projects with students, staff, schools, parents and community based organizations * Promote and publicize after school program and related activities within the school and local community. Includes written publicity as well as oral presentations to groups. * Coordinate educational component with school personnel to meet appropriate school standards and levels * Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of program staff, local service providers and volunteers to deliver quality services to the students enrolled in program * Research and implement innovative techniques for youth development * Help develop additional funding sources to help support program * Work with Program Director to carry out evaluation and program assessment activities * Build and maintain solid, functional and efficient partnerships with schools, government agencies, funders and other host entities
Administrative Duties: * Maintain detailed and accurate records of project developments, volunteer services and results for use in evaluations and reports to funders * Submit all expected timesheets, data forms, rosters and evaluation information on time and complete * Communicate regularly and openly with Program Director and agency staff on program activities and events * Participate in staff and team meetings, supervision, trainings, group outings and other agency sponsored or site sponsored events
