If you'd like to make a difference in the life of a San Francisco child from a low-income neighborhood, consider volunteering with Reading Partners. Reading Partners is a local nonprofit organization that makes getting involved in your local public schools organized and enjoyable. Donating 1 hour/week can make a tremendous difference to a struggling young reader. All tutoring is one-on-one, and is done with a Reading Partners staff member in the room to support you. Sign up for a time that works for you - tutoring generally takes place Monday-Thursday, from 9am-5pm. No experience required - our structured curriculum is easy to follow. 5 convenient locations across San Francisco, including Bayview, Potrero Hill, Visitacion Valley, Castro/Mission and Cow Hollow.
