There are many different types of counseling that people use to get through their daily life problems. Some are the most common ones are:

Acupuncture- is when you stick needles into your acupuncture points on your body by trained doctors called practitioners. The needles are about .01 inches to .02 inches and are made of stainless steel.

Aromatherapy- is when you use oils and other plant compounds to affect someone's mood or health. There are three types of aromatherapy:

Home aromatherapy (self treatment, perfume & cosmetic use)

Clinical aromatherapy (as part of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy)

Aromachology (the psychology of odors and their effects on the mind)

Chromotherapy- is when a trained therapist uses color or light to balance energy wherever your body is lacking. It can be physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally.

Light Therapy- also known as phototherapy. This therapy consists of exposure to different light wavelengths (lasers or LEDS) or bright, full-spectrum light for a prescribed amount of time. This kind of therapy is effective for treating seasonal affective disorder (SAD), delayed sleep phase syndrome, and various skin conditions such as psoriasis.

Magnet Therapy- is when you use magnetic fields to heal your body or relieve stress. These magnetic fields can cause bones to heal faster, relieve pain, and perform other healing to the body, cure for joint disorders and back problems.

Massage Therapy- is when you apply pressure or vibrations to your soft tissues of your body examples are muscles, tendons, ligaments or joints. Massage therapy can be use on all parts of your body to heal injury, relieve stress, manage pain, improve circulation, or relieve stress. There are also over 100 different forms of massage therapy.

Play Therapy- is when you use children's toy's to try to determine the cause of a disturbed behavior in a child. This therapy is mostly used for children. But it can also be use for people who have non-verbal or verbally impaired, slow-learners, brain injured or drug affected persons.

Psychotherapy- is a set of techniques use to improve mental health, emotional or behavioral issues in a person. These issues make it hard for a person to go about their daily life, so psychotherapy can help solve these problems.

Radiation Therapy or Radiotherapy- is when you use radiation for cancer treatment to control malignant cells. It is only use when a cure is not possible or symptomatic relief. Total body irradiation (TBI) is a special radiotherapy technique used to prepare the body to receive a bone marrow transplant You can also use radiotherapy for treatment of severe thyroid eye disease, pterygium, keloid scar growth, or heterotopic bone formation.

Sex Therapy- is the treatment of sexual dysfunction, examples are non-consumation, premature ejaculation, or erectile dysfunction, these are problems commonly caused by stress, tiredness and other environmental and relationship factors.

Shock Therapy- is a psychiatric treatment for someone who has seizures, is in shock or have came out of a shock. It is only use for severe cases of depression or bipolar disorder that do respond to any other treatment.

Spanking therapy- is when you go to regular therapy sessions where spanking is use to reinforce postive behavior. This form of theraphy is only effective if everyone involve has expresses that they need it. It is done weekly, at a set date and time so the person will contuine their postive behavior.

Speech therapy- is when a person gets help with correcting their verbal communication by getting help with speaking correctly.
