Depression is when you are feeling very low or down for a long period of time. There are different types of depression manic depression, bipolar affective disorder, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), or post-natal depression (PND).

The symptoms of depression are a continual low mood, you can feel like you have to cry a lot or become emotional, irritated, angry, anxiety, no motivation, you don’t want to be around your friends, poor hygiene, guilty thoughts, hopeless, suicidal, tiredness, loss of appetite or weight, insomnia, loss of concentration, avoiding people, lack of energy, sick, or being very negativity.

Depression can be cause by social circumstances (divorce, no job, sudden changes to your personal life), physical conditions (fever, diseases, arthritis, or therapy), hormonal changes (pregnancy), psychological conditions (anxiety or panic attacks) or drug abuse.
Most people get counseling or take medications to handle their depression. To get medication visit your doctor. Other people go through therapy. Some people deal with depression by changing their diet, exercise, reducing your stimulants intake (alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, tea, or coffee), relax more, keeping your mind occupied, and stay positive.
