Sexual Violence can be verbal or physical. Victims, who are forced pressured or manipulated of unwanted sex. Young girls have a higher risk than young men. The abuser/ molester can be a friend, an employer, a date or someone you just met. Males are mostly known for raping, but that doesn’t mean that women are abuser/molester. It is never the victim’s fault. Who ever committed the rape & sexual assault is 100% responsible for their actions.

The way you can suspect rape & sexual assault can be someone who: insults you, puts you down, ignores you, or gets angry at you. They may pick your friends for you or choose what you should wear, get jealous at you for no reason, drink heavily and use drug substance and/ or alcohol, refuses to let you pay for any expenses of a date and gets angry at you.

Did you know that one in four female and one in nine male get sexually abused in their childhood? Almost everyday, a child is being neglected and taken advantage of. Child Abuse can really affect the behavior of a child as he or she grows.

So, what is Child Abuse?

Child Abuse is when a child is being neglected or abused. The abuse can be either physical or emotional. There are four types of Child Abuse:

Neglect: A child is being ignored or is receiving little or no attention. (Example: A child lives with parents who do not speak to them very often. The parent is not involved in the child's school activity and does not interact with him/her very often. This  child is being neglect and ignored.)
