Go to a Local Show
For your Spring Break, I recommend finding and attending a local music performance. Due to the fact that I went on a camping trip to Yosemite during my last week of school, I started my Spring Break early.
The first thing I did was find a local music performance to go to. I happened to find a teen event called Spring Fest taking place at a club in downtown San Francisco. It headlined the Trill Youngins, a Bay Area Rap group. The event was so much fun! I danced, hung out with friends, made memorable snapchats, and made new friends the whole night. It's a great way to network with other teens in your city or the Bay Area! I plan to attend a different local music performance again on March 31st. I'll be seeing Lil Yase, a rapper from San Francisco, Liky Bo, a rapper from Oakland, and other Bay Area artists.
The beauty of local shows is that the artists are considerably popular in your area, so they bring in crowds of people who have the same music interests as you! Not only that, but these people are generally your age. Because the artists are still being discovered, the tickets or meet & greets are ridiculously affordable! You never know who will be the next big thing and local shows are a way to catch them when they first start out.
So, this Spring Break, find a local show for you and your friends to go to. As teens, we rarely find fun things to do other than our own parties or school dances. I promise you won't regret the affordable night of fun, dancing, and good music!
