Poetry Month

National Poetry Month in April is a special occasion to celebrate the importance of poets and... Poetry. Here are some inspirational poems for this month;

1.'My Mind to Me a Kingdom Is.'

My mind, to me, a kingdom is;

Such present joys therein I find,

That it excels all other bliss

That earth affords or grows by kind:

Though much I want that most would have,

Yet still my mind forbids to crave …

By: Sir Edward Dyer,

This poem is about the sentiment that one's mind contains a whole world, and, indeed. It tries to say that the only limit on our mind is the limit of our imagination or what we can do.

2."My personal quest"

We're all on this quest to discover ourselves,

Together but through our own ways,

Overcoming whatever might get in our paths,

So we can feel better someday.

But always remember not to stray far

From what matters and what's really true.

In this life you don't have to be perfect.

In the end, you just have to be you.

By; Patricia A. Fleming

This poem shows how unique our journeys are to find ourselves and who we are. We're all our own best versions of ourselves; we do not have to be perfect or to the world standards. We just have to be ourselves.

3."You will never see me fall."

You may see me struggle,

but you won't see me fall.

Regardless if I'm weak or not,

I'm going to stand tall.

Everyone says life is easy,

but truly living it is not.

By; Joyce Alcantara

This poem shows how life is not easy. We all struggle in our ways, but we must not let go of our hopes and dreams; we must keep trying and working on our goals and accomplishments.There are so many other great poems.. What are some of your favorite poems?
