Budget-Friendly Valentine's Date

Love hurts, it costs. Just thinking of the cost of the glamorous dinner, the sparkly gifts, chocolates and the bouquet of flowers, you already know you wallet is going to be break soon. But are you itching to give your partner the perfect Valentine’s Day ? Because we got plans for you this winter break for both locals and away from the city.

Bonfire ✭✭✭✭✩

Need some fun and warmth this Valentine’s? Grab your partner and go to the beach for a bonfire. Yes, it might get a little cold when it’s dark, but you get to enjoy the view of the deep blue ocean with the sunset while eating your marshmallows. (and of course a long kiss to end the night)

Only three rings available. Bonfire are allow from 9AM ‘till 1 hour after sunset

Fourteen rings are available all time. All fires must be out after 9PM. Parking spots are closed at 10PM

de Young Museum ✭✭✭✭✩

Located near California Academy of Sciences. The de Young has a collection of 27,000 works from the 17th through 21st centuries, ranging from modern and contemporary art, photography, international textiles and costumes, and art from around the world. And don't forget to visit the 360-degree views at San Francisco at the ninth-floor of the museum. Tickets ranged from $6 to $15.

Exploratorium ✭✭✭✭✭

A hands-on museum of science, art, and human perception in San Francisco. Exploring more than 600 exhibits, including 150 new experiences to inspire creativity in people of all ages. Tickets ranged from $19.95 to $29.95.


San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) ✭✭✭✭✭

A comprehensive collection of modern and contemporary art in one museum. An expansion of 170,00 square feet of new and renovated galleries displaying over 33,000 modern and contemporary artworks. An essential place for artsy and “tumblristic” people. Tickets ranged from $19 to $25 and free for youth.


Moreover, it’s true that San Francisco lacks the feeling of the romance and fun, but if you want to enjoy more fun, here’s a place where you should go during winter.

Yosemite National Park ✭✭✭✭✭

180 miles away from San Francisco, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular and beautiful natural wonders in all of America. February is a magical time to visit Yosemite, with opportunities for hiking, ice skating, playing in the snow, and being in quiet solitude. The silence and beauty of Yosemite in the winter is an unforgettable experience. So head to the Curry Village Ice Rink in Yosemite Valley for ice-skating with some pretty epic views of Half Dome and Glacier Point.
