The Witcher

Wassup everybody! Hello to all movie or tv series lovers! I'll admit I'm one of them… I love movies/tv series!!!! Favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, comedy, adventure, action, and etc. Watching movies taught me a lot of things in every aspect of my life, and movies have been my go-to "thing to do" when I feel depressed or anxious. This is a must-watch tv series if you like a fantasy/action tv series.

The Witcher is an American fantasy drama web television series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. The first season, consisting of eight episodes, was released on Netflix in its entirety on December 20, 2019. It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The summary of this TV series is set in a medieval fictional world on a landmass known as "the Continent." The Witcher follows the story of solitary monster hunter Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and Cintran princess Ciri (Freya Allan). Who find their destinies tied together. The first season is based on The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, a collection of short stories that precede the main Witcher saga. It explores formative events that shaped the three lead characters, before their first encounters with each other. The fighting scenes in this tv series are epic.

Like most sci-fi movies, they came from a book. Which this tv series also came from. There are a total of 8 books that were published.

The reading order of the witcher books are:

  1. The Last Wish

  2. Sword of Destiny

  3. Season of Storms (optional) - Season of Storms, actually takes place within the stories of The Last Wish. It's only worth reading Season of Storms if you want to experience everything The Witcher has to offer. As the events that take place are not integral to the main arc—but it does sow some seeds of what's to come in the rest of the series.

  4. Blood of Elves

  5. Time of Contempt

  6. Baptism of Fire

  7. The Tower of the Swallow

  8. The Lady of the Lake

Wait, there's more… there are actually video games out of these books. I am also a video game lover and have an Xbox console. Seeing the Witcher world on a screen is exciting and impressive.

Here are some of them:

  1. The Witcher October 26, 2007.

  2. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings May 17, 2011.

  3. The Witcher Adventure Game on November 27, 2014.

  4. The Witcher: Battle Arena on January 22, 2015.

  5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt May 19, 2015.

  6. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game 2016.

  7. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, October 23, 2018.

I personally suggest you guys play The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. I just started playing this game and I can't get enough of it.
