Matrix Premiere in San Francisco

On Dec 18th, The Matrix Resurrections will have its U.S. premiere at the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco. The premiere will occur four days before its theatrical release (Dec 22nd). Director Lana Wachowski plus stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Neil Patrick Harris are scheduled to attend the red carpet premiere.

Unfortunately, tickets will not be available to the general public, but there will be a fan zone set up, so you can catch a glimpse of some of the stars walking the red carpet. The Matrix Resurrections, an American science fiction action film, was filmed in San Francisco in 2020.

Due to the special events occurring at 7:00 pm, the whole Castro Valley had been blocked today through midnight Sunday. The 24-Divisadero and 35-Eureka have been rerouted around the affected area. Besides that, the blockade for Castro Valley is affecting the local merchants. They did not notice until today; they are trying to ask the premiere host to have their afterparty in this neighbourhood as well.
