Nick All-Star Brawl

At least I know who Lincoln Loud is.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was released on October 5th, 2021. It was hyped up pre-release with videos on YouTube showcasing characters, as well as Smash Bros pro players demonstrating some duels.

Over at Nintendo, they announced that the last Super Smash Bros. DLC character (who turned out to be Sora), would release on October 5th. Oh hey, it’s the same day. Whether this was done to shadow All-Star’s release, or to ceremoniously pass the torch on, I can’t say. It was probably the former.

The game was released with 20 characters from 13 of Nick’s series.

  • Aaahh!!! Real Monsters

    • Oblina

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender

    • Aang

    • Toph

  • Catdog

    • Catdog

  • Danny Phantom

    • Danny Phantom

  • Hey Arnold!

    • Helga

  • Invader Zim

    • Zim

  • The Legend of Korra

    • Korra

  • The Loud House

    • Lincoln Loud

    • Lucy Loud

  • The Ren & Stimpy Show

    • Ren & Stimpy

    • Powdered Toast Man

  • Rugrats

    • Reptar

  • SpongeBob SquarePants

    • SpongeBob

    • Patrick

    • Sandy Cheeks

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

    • Leonardo

    • Michelangelo

    • April O’Neil

  • The Wild Thornberrys

    • Nigel Thornberry

However, the game does not feature any other series at the moment, so the characters listed are all the ones showcased. Worry not, as there are already two characters supposed to release soon, with DLC fighters underway.

Most critics praise the game’s overall gameplay, but all agree it is rather lacking in content. For example, there is no voice acting or story mode. Alternate skins were also lacking, but it has recently come out that DLC skins are being added, for free.

In other news, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was nominated for the best fighting game of the year. Feel free to vote for your favorite here.

And finally, be ready for a blog on another game. The release of Nick All Stars Brawl is being followed by Warner Bros.’ MultiVersus.
