No Way Home
So the new Spider-Man: No Way Home just got released, and people are going bananas. The plot looks solid, and many new appearances, particularly Alfred Molina’s second opportunity at Otto Octavius’ character in the movie. Let’s also not forget that J.K. Simmons is also coming back as J. Jonah Jameson and announces Peter Parker is, in fact, Spider-Man. According to the trailer, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is somehow stuck in the multiverse and is encountering multiple villains from past movies. It was also reported a couple months ago that Jamie Foxx will be returning as Electro as well.
Now, aside from the villains coming back to the big screen, everyone’s question is in mind: will we see Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man? Well, with how the trailer played out, it is more than likely that we will (but then again, this is just opinion-based). Why would they bring old villains without their respective heroes? Do we really expect Tom Holland to fight all of them at once? I mean, come on! We all heard (and saw) Green Goblin cackling in the background as one of his bomb thingamajigs exploded, Electro doing a song and dance on police vehicles, and of course, Otto Octavius at the end of the trailer. There are probably going to be more surprises down the line. But even so, that’s too many villains for one spidey boy to handle. Could they also recast Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin or someone completely new?
Could there possibly be the two former Spider-Man actors on the big screen once again? If that were to happen, that would make the original Spider-Man trilogy and the Amazing Spider-Man movies canon. What do you think?
