Republicans Reject Mandate --> Biden Disappointed

It's been evident throughout the past weeks that, even though vaccinated, many people are still catching the virus and putting a danger to other people. The spread of the virus and other reasons is why some governments have put a mask mandate on many services and locations, including small businesses. However, some states, including Texas, are not ok with this mandate, and Biden is now "disappointed."

This morning, Biden mentioned that many Republican governors have no care for children's health or the health of any community by not getting vaccinated or wearing a mask. "We got to come together," said Biden. "The vast majority of American people know we have to do these things. They're hard but necessary, we're gonna get them done." The refusal from Republican Governors came after Biden ordered another mandate which required all locations, businesses, and services with more than 100 employees to be vaccinated or submit weekly testing. This mandate also affects those who work in health facilities and receive Medicare or Medicaid. Biden added that the unvaccinated "has cost all of us," and they "can cause a lot of damage, and they are."

Republicans around the country are furious with Biden's new and "unconstitutional" rules. Republican South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster responded to Biden's mandate on Twitter, "The American Dream has turned into a nightmare under President Biden and the radical Democrats. They have declared war against capitalism… and empowered our enemies abroad." Texas Governor Greg Abbott also responded to Biden's mandate on Twitter and stated that this new mandate "is an assault on private businesses" and Texas is "working to halt this power grab," he added.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) also weighed into Biden's mandate. RNC chair Ronna McDaniel said that "[Biden] lied" back when he was elected, saying that "he would not impose vaccine mandates." McDaniel continues by saying that now many "businesses, workers, and families across the country will pay the price."

What do you think about Biden's mandate? Do you think the mandate will get the country back to normal? Or is this mandate a violation of American rights?
